Eligibility: The candidates who wish to apply must belong to the category of Scheduled Caste and should have taken admission in a full-time degree course in a recognised institution after securing a minimum of 60% in the Class 12 examination. Also, the annual family income of the applicant must not be more than ₹8,00,000 from all sources.
Award: The selected students studying in private sector institutions are liable to receive full tuition fees & non-refundable charges with a maximum ceiling of up to ₹2,00,000 per annum. Apart from them, the students who are admitted into private sector flying clubs and pursuing courses like Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses will receive tuition fees and other non-refundable charges with a maximum ceiling of up to ₹3,72,000 per annum. Besides this, students will also receive an academic allowance of ₹86,000 in the first year of study and ₹41,000 in every subsequent year, to take care of living expenses, books and stationery, computer/laptop with accessories like UPS and printer, etc.
Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities
Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities is a government scholarship that offers financial assistance in the form of admission fees, tuition fees, and maintenance allowance to needy students belonging to minority communities. Minority communities of India include Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Zoroastrian/Parsi.
