HP Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria
All these scholarships have certain limitations and conditions for students to be eligible for them. HP Scholarship – How to Apply
Each HP scholarship invites applications from students of different background in order to promote education in the state. The newly implemented HP ePass scholarship portal makes it easy and efficient for the students to apply for these scholarships. However, the applications for most of the centrally-sponsored and state-sponsored scholarships are now invited through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Here is a step by step application procedure on how to apply for an HP scholarship with ease through HP ePass Scholarship Portal and National Scholarship Portal.
HP Scholarship Application through HP ePass Portal
Step 1: Visit the HP ePass Scholarship Portal
- Visit the Himachal Pradesh ePass Scholarship Portal
- The list of Scholarship Schemes can be referenced by clicking on ‘Schemes Offered’
Step 2: Register
- Click on ‘Student login’ in order to register yourself.
- The User Id and Password will be provided through the specified phone number and email id of the student.
Note- Keep the User ID and Password safe, the same shall be used to track further progress of the scholarship application.
- If you’re a new student click on “New Student Registration” and you will be redirected to the following page
- If you do not have an Aadhar card click on ‘No’ and provide the Electronic Identification as ID proof and complete the registration
Step 3: Attach the required documents
Once you have completed the registration by providing valid and important details carefully, attach all the necessary documents required in the HP Scholarship application. Make sure to be conscious of all the documents being authentic and valid, they will be verified before the registration is confirmed and any or all invalid data provided will be rejected immediately.

Step 4: Submit your application
Prior to submitting the application form, make sure to re-check it in case of any accidental form of discrepancy processed through the information. The student can edit/ update or fill his form in parts, then take a printout of Online Application Form, and submit the same along with the scheme-specific document(s) to the respective institution, within the stipulated time as mentioned in the schedule
The progress of the application can be constantly tracked by logging in the HP Epass Scholarship Portal through the same ID and password provided to you at the time of registration.
After successful submission of the Online Application Form, it would be automatically forwarded to the Institute selected by the student for verification.
Note- If in case any error is detected by the student in their application form, they will have to separately inform the mistakes detected by them to the Institute/District/Region/State. The software provides the facility at the level of the Institute & State to edit& correct limited information.
HP Scholarship Application through National Scholarship Portal
The steps to be followed for application on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) are given below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP.
Step 2: Check if your institution is listed on the portal or not by clicking on ‘Search for Institute’ button. If your institution is not registered, request them to register on the portal first.
Step 3: If your institution is registered, click on the ‘New Registration’ button and read all the guidelines carefully.
Step 4: Fill in all required details and register. You will receive an application ID and password on your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Make a login using the application ID and password and change the password as per your convenience.
Step 6: Once you enter the dashboard, click on the ‘Application Form’ to start the application.
Step 7: Fill in all required details in the application form and upload all relevant documents (as required).
Step 8: Finally, submit the application.
HP Scholarship – Documents Required
The basic requirement to be eligible for the HP scholarship is to be bonafide of Himachal Pradesh and further information alters depending on the scholarship scheme chosen by the student.
