Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship – Key Eligibility
To be eligible for the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship, the students have to fulfil certain eligibility conditions. These conditions are based on the age of the students, their financial need and academic excellence. Find below the key eligibility criteria that each student has to fulfil to avail the scholarship.
- The students who have secured a rank in the CBSE/State Board merit list of class 12 are eligible for this scholarship.
- They must be enrolled in a degree/diploma course at a recognised University/Institution/College.
- The age of the candidates should be below 20 years as on 30 April of the year of application.
- The annual income of the candidate’s family should be less than INR 4.50 Lakh. (Note: The preference will be given to candidates having a family income less than INR 2.50 Lakh per annum).
- The scholarship is also open for specially-abled students for whom there are no income criteria.

Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship – Application Process
The application procedure for Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship is slightly different than other scholarships. Since the scholarship is only available for students who are among the top rank holders of the CBSE/State Board, the Reliance Foundation sends the Letters of Eligibility to top 15 scorers of each state except for Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. The Letters of Eligibility for these three states are sent to the top 10 scorers of each district. The students receiving the Letters of Eligibility can apply for the scholarship online within 60 days from the date of the letter sent by the Foundation. The amount of financial assistance provided under the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship Programme varies based on the course for which the students have secured admission. The scholarship amount generally comprises the reimbursement of the college fee, maintenance allowance and other allowances related to the purchase of educational material and books. The selected scholars receive the scholarship amount directly into their bank accounts. The students are asked to provide their bank account details only if they are selected for the scholarship.
