PM YASASVI Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC/EBC/DNT Students - Chandigarh 2023 is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, for OBC, EBC, and DNT students studying in Class 9 or 10. The scheme aims to motivate students by providing them with financial assistance at pre-matriculation or secondary stage to pursue higher education. The selected candidates will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹ 4,000 per annum.

Deadline05-Feb-2024 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- be a domicile of Chandigarh
- belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC)/Economically Backward Class (EBC)/De-Notified Tribes (DNT) category
- be studying in Class 9 or 10 in a government-recognised school
- have annual parent(s)/guardian income less than ₹2,50,000 from all sources
- not be receiving benefits under any other scholarship scheme to aid studies in Class 9 and 10
Note:- If students are receiving benefits under any other scholarship for Class 9 and 10, then they must choose one among them. They should inform both the awarding authorities and their school principal about their chosen scholarship.
Benefits The selected students will recieve a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum.

- Bank account details of the student
How can you apply? Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner' and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Select the respective Aadhaar option, enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application.Note: All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
- A minimum of 5% of scholarships will be allocated to students with disabilities, and 30% of the recipients will be reserved for female students.
- Only two boys from the same family can receive scholarships, but this rule does not apply to girls. This means that if two girls from the same family receive scholarships, it will not affect the ability of their two brothers to receive scholarships.
- Students must have at least 75% attendance in the previous year to be eligible for a scholarship.
- If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statements, their scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid will be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned State Government.
- The provisions of this scheme can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Government of India.
