NSP Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers - Post-Matric 2023-24 is an initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, for the students enrolled in Class 11 to postgraduation level at any government institution/university. The main objective of this scheme is to ensure no child is working in any hazardous sector as labour. The selected candidates will receive financial assistance up to ₹25,000 per annum.

Deadline31-Jan-2024 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be enrolled in a regular course of General or Technical education, including Medical, Engineering, and Agricultural studies
- be a child of Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, Cine workers with at least six months of service
- have passed the last qualifying examination in the first attempt
- have an annual family income in the following way:
- For supervisory and managerial employees: not exceeding ₹10,000 per month
- For cine workers: ₹8,000 per month
The following students are ineligible for the scholarship:-
- Students who, after passing one stage of education want to continue studying in the same stage of education but in a different subject. e.g. B.Sc. after B.Com. or B.Com. after B.A. or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in another subject.
- Students who, have completed their educational career in one professional line and are willing to continue education in a different professional line, e.g. L.L.B. after B.T. or B.Ed.
Benefits The selected students will receive the scholarship in the following manner:
Class/Category Scholarship Amount (per annum in ₹) Class 11 and 12 3,000 ITI 6,000 Polytechnic 6,000 Degree courses (including B.Sc. Agriculture) 6,000 Professional Courses 25,000 Note:- Students promoted to the next class are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Documents - Photograph of the applicants
- Copy of the identity card of the parents (Note:- Form B register number will be required in case of Mineworkers.)
- Copy of front page of bank passbook or cancelled cheque (which should contain details of the account holder/beneficiary)
- Passing certificate/marksheet of the previous academic year
- Income certificate of the parent issued by the Revenue Authority (RO)
How can you apply? Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Applicant Corner ' and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application.Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill out the form correctly; no changes can be made once it is submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill out only one application, as multiple applications will cancel the form.

Selection Criteria
The candidate will be selected based on the marks percentage obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam and the parent’s/guardian’s annual income.

- Students who are receiving scholarships or stipends from any other source are ineligible to receive benefits under this scheme.
- Scholars must have a separate bank account. In the case of a joint account, the first name should be of the scholar.
- More than one child of the same worker must provide a separate bank account number.
- Each scholar is required to provide a separate mobile number.
- *The scholarship sanctioned is liable to be cancelled on the following occasions -
- If the scholar is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statements.
- If the scholar discontinues studies, the scholarship shall be stopped from the date of such discontinuance.
- If the scholar changes the subject of the course of study for which the scholarship was originally awarded or changes the Institution of Study without the prior approval of the Welfare Commissioner.
- If the scholar fails to make satisfactory progress in the studies/is irregular in attendance/guilty of misconduct during the academic year for which scholarship has been granted.
- If the parent(s) of the scholar ceases to be a Beedi/Mine/Cine worker.
*Note - If the scholars are found to have committed any one or more of the above after the scholarship amount has been paid, the amount shall be recovered forthwith from their parents.

Dear Student
The application to multiple government scholarships is subject to the guidelines provided by them. In case, a scholarship guideline says that the applicant must not be in receipt of any other scholarship, he/she cannot apply for multiple scholarships. However, if there is no such guideline mentioned, you can continue to apply for as many scholarships as you want to be provided you fulfill all their eligibility criteria.
