Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Important documents
Terms and Conditions
  • Under this scholarship program, a maximum of two males from the same family can receive scholarships. This restriction, however, does not apply to females. In other words, girls receiving scholarships will not affect the eligibility of up to two males from the same family to also receive scholarships.
  • Scholarship holders who are receiving coaching in any of the pre-examination training centers with financial assistance from the Central Government/State Government will not be eligible for a stipend under the coaching schemes for the duration of the coaching programme.
  • Employed students whose income combined with the income of their parent(s)/guardian(s) does not exceed ₹1,00,000 per annum shall be eligible for post-matric scholarships to the extent of reimbursement of all compulsorily payable non-refundable fees.
  • Students enrolled in Class 11 of Higher Secondary School courses or Class 12 of Multipurpose High School are not eligible for this scholarship because their studies are considered a continuation of their secondary education. However, if the Class 12 examination of these programs is recognised as equivalent to matriculation and students subsequently enroll in other courses after completing it, they will be considered post-matriculate students and eligible for the scholarship.

For Renewal of Scholarship:-

  • The scholarship, once awarded, will remain valid from its start date until the recipient completes the course, provided they maintain good conduct and regular attendance.
  • The scholarship may be renewed for subsequent years within the same program, even if it spans multiple years, as long as the recipient progresses to the next higher class. This applies regardless of whether the program's progress is assessed through university or institutional examinations.
  • Students enrolled in Group A courses under the Economically Backward Class (EBC) scholarship may have their award renewed if they fail their examinations for the first time. However, for subsequent failures in any course, the scholarship will no longer be provided. In such cases, the student will be responsible for covering their own expenses until they advance to the next higher class.
  • If a scholarship recipient is unable to take the annual exam due to illness or an unforeseen event, the scholarship may be extended for the following academic year. This requires providing a medical certificate or other acceptable evidence to the Head of the Institution. Additionally, the Head must certify that the student would have passed the exam if they had been able to take it.
  • If a student is promoted to a higher class without passing all exams in the previous class, they will still be eligible for the applicable scholarship in the new class, provided they meet all other scholarship requirements and the university/institution's regulations allow it. However, they may need to retake exams from the previous class at a later date.
